Taliban minister Amir Khan Muttaqi was denied travel waiver for his planned India trip by a UN Security Council (UNSC) committee currently led by non-permanent UNSC member Pakistan, Hindustan Times reported. The travel has now been called off. Muttaqi would have been the first minister from the Afghan Taliban government to visit India since Taliban seized power there in 2021.
