Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal rejected Pakistani media reports falsely accusing India of deliberately flooding Pakistan. Calling them baseless, he said, "Rise in river flows is a natural hydrological response to heavy monsoon rainfall and not a result of any deliberate action by India." Pakistan's own flood forecasting division attributed it to heavy rainfall, he added.
