Pakistani poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz, whose 106th birth anniversary was observed on Monday, was once arrested for conspiring against the country's Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan to overthrow his government. Faiz, who wrote numerous revolutionary poems, is best known for his ghazals 'Gulon Mein Rang Bhare' and 'Dasht-E-Tanhai Mein'. He passed away at the age of 73 in Pakistan's Lahore.
