Pak police officers apply for leave after chief allegedly abducted

Several high-ranking police officers in Pakistan, including Sindh police chief Mushtaq Ahmed Mahar, applied for leave to "protest the humiliation meted out to Sindh police" after Mahar was allegedly abducted by the Pakistan Army. The opposition in Pakistan had alleged that Mahar was also forced into ordering the arrest of opposition leader Muhammad Safdar.
