Pakistan again hikes fuel prices to PKR 402.96 for just a litre of diesel

Pakistan again announced a PKR 2.29/litre hike in the price of diesel, which forms the backbone of the country's commercial transit and is likely to trigger a trickle-down inflationary effect. Petrol prices remained unchanged at PKR 377.91/litre as diesel prices rose to PKR 402.96/litre. This comes as Pakistan, a mediator in the US-Israel-Iran war, reels from a war-triggered fuel crisis.
