Pakistan-born New Zealand all-rounder Muhammad Abbas has broken the world record for scoring the fastest fifty on ODI debut. The 21-year-old reached half-century off 24 deliveries in the first ODI against Pakistan in Napier to break the record. The previous record was held by India's Krunal Pandya, who smashed a 26-ball fifty on his ODI debut against England in 2021.
