In a major reshuffle in Pakistan Army, Lt Gen Azhar Abbas, who was responsible for the security of the LoC with India, has been named the next Chief of General Staff. He'd be the army's 35th CGS. He replaces Lt Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza, who was posted out as commander of Rawalpindi-based 10 Corps, a post previously held by Abbas.
