Speaking at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday accused Pakistan of smuggling drugs into Punjab. He said it wanted to demolish the youth along the border in Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat for its own security. Pakistan is looking at a long-term plan to destroy the youth and Indian military system, he added.

Rahul reached the milestone in 129 innings during DC's IPL 2025 match against GT on Saturday. RR captain Sanju Samson held the previous record for being the fastest Indian to hit 200 IPL sixes, taking 159 innings.

Putin announces unilateral ceasefire in Ukraine for Easter

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a unilateral ceasefire in its war with Ukraine, which started in 2022. "Based on humanitarian considerations...Russian side announces an Easter truce. I order a stop to all military activities for this period," Putin told his military chief Valery Gerasimov. Ceasefire will begin at 6pm (Moscow time) on Saturday and end at midnight on Easter Sunday.

A 52-year-old man named Yatish Singhai passed away due to heart attack while working out at a gym in MP's Jabalpur. A CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced on social media. In the video, Yatish can be seen keeping a dumbbell on floor and collapsing. The gym staff took Yatish to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

A team of scientists at University of California, Berkeley, has claimed to have found a colour that no one has seen before. The researchers have named the colour 'olo' and have said that its hue could only be experienced through laser manipulation of the retina. Five people who have seen the colour described it as 'blue-green'.

India on Saturday condemned abduction and killing of Hindu leader Bhabesh Chandra in Bangladesh's Dinajpur. "This killing follows a pattern of systematic persecution of Hindu minorities under (Bangladesh's) interim government," said Foreign Ministry. It said the interim government should "live up to its responsibility of protecting all minorities, including Hindus, without inventing excuses".

An earthquake of 5.8 magnitude struck Afghanistan on Saturday, with tremors being felt in Kashmir and Delhi NCR, reports said. According to National Center for Seismology, the quake struck at 12.17 pm IST at a depth of 130 km. No casualties, injuries or damages to property were immediately reported after the earthquake.
