Pak's economic model has failed: World Bank as 95 mn under poverty

As poverty in Pakistan surged from 34.2% to 39.4% in one year, approximately 95 million people are now living in poverty, World Bank stated. Its economist, Tobias Haque, said Pakistan's economic model is failing to reduce poverty. The lender urged Pakistan to tax agriculture and real estate to achieve economic stability through fiscal adjustment of over 7% of economy.
