Paraguay gets new prez as Peña impeached & put under house arrest after bank collapse

Pedro Alliana swore in as Paraguay's new president on Friday after Santiago Peña was impeached and put under house arrest following collapse of a major bank linked to him that held half of Paraguay's savings. Peña faces charges of breach of trust, influence peddling, and misappropriation of funds. Protests erupted after half the population lost access to their bank accounts.
