The government has appointed retired IAS officer Parameswaran Iyer as the CEO of NITI Aayog. Iyer is a 1981 batch IAS officer who led the Swachh Bharat Mission. He has been appointed as NITI Aayog's CEO for a period of two years or until further orders. He'll be succeeding Amitabh Kant, whose tenure is scheduled to end on June 30.
