Parents' phone use can make teens feel less connected: Study

A new study suggests frequent phone use by parents can make teenagers feel less emotionally connected to them. Researchers surveyed 600 US teens aged 12-17 and found that parental device use during important moments was linked to feelings of insecurity and emotional distance. Teens also reported feeling ignored when parents stayed focused on their phones.
