A Parliamentary panel report has called for a new law to make adoptions inclusive of all religions and the LGBTQIA+ community. The panel said such legislation should be more transparent, accountable and less bureaucratic. The recommendations further called for consonance between the Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act and the Juvenile Justice Act to make the process easier.
