An activist of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), Pravin Chowgule allegedly committed suicide in Maharashtra's Thane on Tuesday. A party spokesperson claimed that Chowgule took the extreme step as he was "depressed and angry" over the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) notice to MNS chief Raj Thackeray. The police said that the activist was an alcoholic and used to be frequently depressed.
