A Himachal Pradesh consumer commission ordered RedBus and a bus operator to pay ₹10,000 to a consumer for cancelling his Palampur-Delhi bus ticket 17 minutes before departure in 2023. The passenger had paid ₹600 for the ticket and was told that no bus was scheduled to leave at 10:15 pm. "RedBus failed to conduct due diligence," the commission noted.
