AAP leader Raghav Chadha urged the Parliament to make paternity leave a legal right in India. "A father shouldn't have to choose between caregiving for his newborn and keeping his job," he stated. He noted that while central government employees get 15 days of paid paternity leave, nearly 90% of the workforce in the private sector lacks this benefit.
