Pathirage becomes fourth javelin thrower to cross 92m mark twice

Sri Lanka's 23-year-old javelin thrower Rumesh Pathirage recorded a 92.07m throw at the Zurich Diamond League 2026, registering the second-best throw in the world this season. With this, Pathirage became only the fourth javelin thrower in history to breach the 92-metre mark twice, joining Jan Zelezny, Johannes Vetter and Aki Parviainen. Meanwhile, India's Neeraj Chopra opted out of the event.
