Food Safety and Standards Authority of India on Tuesday appointed Pawan Kumar Agarwal as its new CEO. An IAS officer from the1985 batch of West Bengal cadre, Agarwal is currently the Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Former CEO Yudhvir Singh Malik, reportedly the man behind Maggi ban, was shifted to NITI Aayog this September.
