Paytm seeks salary hike for Founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma, pay below peers

The board of Paytm's parent company has proposed increasing founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma's salary after an independent review found his pay materially below comparable roles. Sharma's base remuneration has remained unchanged since August 2022, after he voluntarily opted against an increase following his reappointment as MD and CEO. He received ₹4.33 crore in FY26, down from ₹4.5 crore in FY25.
