Online payment and m-commerce platform Paytm is testing a new feature, called ‘Sound Pay’, that will enable mobile payments through ultrasonic sound waves. After a user presses the 'Sound Pay' icon, a sound is emitted, carrying information regarding the amount to be paid and customer credentials. Once the information reaches a registered merchant, the amount is debited from the wallet.
