PCMC suspends chief engineer in bribery case

Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation suspended Chief Engineer Pramod Ombhase and ordered a departmental inquiry after the Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested him for allegedly demanding a bribe to sign a ₹36 lakh tender file. A case was registered at Sant Tukaram Nagar police station on October 29 under the Prevention of Corruption Act. He remains in magistrate custody until November 14.
