Pensioners' representative body, EPS95 National Agitation Committee, has called for a nationwide protest on August 5 at Jantar Mantar. The committee is looking for hike in minimum monthly pension under the Employee Pension Scheme (EPS) from the current ₹1,000 to ₹7,500. Its other key demands include provision of Dearness Allowance (DA) and free medical facilities for pensioners and their spouses.
