The US Department of Defense has given a small Florida company control over about 175 million of its IP addresses, AP News reported. The company began managing the IP addresses on January 20 in a "pilot effort" to "identify potential vulnerabilities" and "prevent unauthorised use of the Department of Defense's IP address space", a Pentagon spokesperson said.
