After the BJP won the Assam Assembly elections, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said the people of Assam have made the Congress leader Pawan Khera a “peda”. “If Gaurav Gogoi hadn’t sat alongside Pawan Khera at the press conference, he would not have lost today,” Sarma added. Khera had earlier alleged that Sarma’s wife held passports from multiple countries.
