Amid severe heatwave alert in the region, residents in Noida and Ghaziabad received another alert on their phones by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), warning of winds "worse than loo" in next 24 hours. The warning was also issued for Aligarh, Etah, Hathras, Kanpur Nagar, Mainpuri, Mathura, Mirzapur, and Bhadohi. An orange alert for extreme heat is active for Delhi-NCR.
