Peru's Machu Picchu reopened to tourists on Wednesday after being closed nearly a month ago amid anti-government protests. The move came after agreements between authorities, social groups and the local tourism industry, to guarantee the security of the tourist attraction, were made. At least 60 people have lost their lives amid protests seeking President Dina Boluarte's resignation.
