Pesticide exposure linked to 150% higher cancer risk: Study

A study published in Nature Health has found a strong link between environmental exposure to agricultural pesticides and a higher cancer risk. Researchers in Peru analysed data from over 150,000 cancer patients. Regions with higher pesticide exposure showed about a 150% higher average probability of developing certain cancers. Pesticides are used in modern agriculture to protect crops from pests.
