Data mining company Palantir, chaired by venture capitalist Peter Thiel and backed by American intelligence agency CIA, has raised $20 million (₹137 crore) in fresh funding. Palantir provides government, finance and other organisations with analytics and security. It was valued at $20 billion (₹1.3 lakh crore) in December 2015 when it closed off an $880 million (₹6 thousand crore) round.
