Petrol price hit ₹80 per litre in Mumbai on Thursday, the highest in 2019, after petrol rates increased by 15 paise per litre while diesel rates increased by 10 paise across the country. Petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai were ₹74.43, ₹77.03 and ₹77.28, respectively. Fuel prices began surging after drone attacks on Saudi oil facilities earlier this month.
