PFAS levels rise sharply as they move up the food chain: Study

Global research led by UNSW shows PFAS 'forever chemicals' rapidly accumulate as they move up the food chain, doubling at each level. This leaves top predators, including humans, with far higher exposure. The study warns some newer PFAS may build up even faster and calls for stricter, science-based regulation to limit long-term environmental and health risks.
