PFC shares fell nearly 2%, while REC declined after both state-run lenders approved their merger scheme. Under the proposal, REC shareholders will receive 88 PFC shares for every 100 REC shares held. The merged entity will have a loan book exceeding ₹11 lakh crore, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals.
