Pharma exporters may face ₹5,000 cr in losses amid Middle East war

Indian pharmaceutical exporters may see losses worth ₹2,500-5,000 crore in March as the Middle East war has rapidly escalated freight charges, reported Fortune India, citing Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council of India. This comes as exporters now face steep surcharges of $4,000-$8,000 per shipment. The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Oman are highly dependent on India for affordable medicines.
