The pharmaceutical industry in Himachal Pradesh is grappling with a severe cost crisis as prices of key raw materials continue to surge in the wake of the ongoing West Asia conflict. Manufacturers, particularly in the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) segment, have urged the Centre to invoke the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, to regulate supply and prevent hoarding.
