PhonePe, Paytm and CRED stopped allowing rent payments via credit cards to landlords, reports said. This comes after RBI's latest guidelines issued on September 15 barred payment aggregators from facilitating payments to entities who aren't in a direct contractual relationship with them. Since landlords aren't registered merchants on such platforms, they don't share a contractual relationship.
