PhonePe has introduced biometric authentication for UPI payments, allowing users to approve transactions using fingerprint or facial recognition instead of a PIN. The feature currently supports payments of up to ₹5,000 and aims to make transactions faster and more secure. It also reduces common issues such as forgotten PINs and incorrect entries during digital payments.
