PIB Fact Check has issued a warning, urging people to be cautious when receiving emails that appear to be from the Income Tax Department. The emails ask the public to download an e-PAN card in an attempt to collect sensitive personal or financial information. PIB has advised that such emails are fake and part of phishing attempts.
