Pic shows collapse of ice shelf as big as Rome in Antarctica as temperature rises

Satellite imagery has captured collapse of a large ice shelf in East Antarctica. The Conger ice shelf, which sits off the East Antarctic coast adjacent to the much larger Shackleton ice shelf, completely collapsed around March 15. It was around 1,200 square kilometres, almost as big as Rome. The region experienced record high temperatures over last few days.
