NASA shared a satellite image showing the Panama Canal traffic jam, which increased average waiting time for ships using the canal in August by nearly four times of average time in June. A drought has caused the jam as deficient rains have reduced amount of water the canal can use. In early August, the jam had reached 160 total vessels.
