A picture shared by the European Southern Observatory showed a stunning view of the central region of the Milky Way galaxy. The region featured in the image spans more than 650 light-years and has dense clouds of gas and dust surrounding the supermassive black hole at the centre of the galaxy, an astronomer from the observatory said.
