A tiger was spotted at an elevation of 3,640 metre above sea level in Sikkim, making it the highest point at which the animal has been sighted in India. The tiger was photographed using trap cameras installed by the scientists of Bombay Natural History Society and Sikkim Forest Department. Before this, tigers were spotted at 3,630 metre in Arunachal Pradesh.
