Nose digging can lead to serious health complications, including cognitive decline in later years causing dementia and Alzheimer's, according to a new study. The research says nose digging allows bacteria, viruses, and fungi to enter the brain, causing inflammation. As we age, inflammation leads to infections which damages brain cells and results in the symptoms of the condition.
