Pictures from the site of the massive avalanche that hit Sikkim on Tuesday have surfaced online. Several tourists have been rescued after the avalanche struck at 14th mile on Jawaharlal Nehru road connecting Gangtok with Nathula Pass and rescue operation is underway, said BRO. Six tourists were killed in the avalanche while 11 people are injured, officials stated.
