Parts of South America like Chile and Argentina witnessed a 'Ring of Fire' solar eclipse on October 2. This phenomenon happens when the Moon passes between Earth and Sun, but is too far to completely cover the Sun. A partial eclipse was also visible in Antarctica, Hawaii, Mexico, New Zealand, Brazil and Uruguay.
