A Ganpati idol in Mumbai has been adorned with 69kg of gold and 336kg of silver this year. According to ANI, the idol was installed by the GSB Seva Mandal, one of the city's wealthiest organisers of the festival. The mandal has taken a record insurance cover of ₹360-crore that will cover the structure, public calamities and volunteers, among others.
