Pig kidney removed from US woman a record 130 days after transplant

Towana Looney, a woman from US' Alabama, who lived with a pig kidney for a record 130 days, had the organ removed after her body started rejecting it, doctors announced. It's the longest a human has survived with a pig kidney transplant. Looney recovered from the removal procedure and was discharged after five days. She is back on dialysis.
