'Pigeons can be trained to spot cancer tissue'

Researchers at the University of California have found that with training, pigeons can identify cancerous tissues in x-rays and microscope slides with an accuracy rate of up to 99%. The study found that after 15 days of training, a bird's accuracy rate was 85%. However, when multiple pigeons​ were used for identification, the accuracy rate was 99%.
