'Pillars of light' seen in Sweden skies amid cold wave, pic surfaces

Sweden recently witnessed a rare natural phenomenon, 'light pillars', as a cold wave made the temperatures drop nearly 30 degrees below the freezing point. A picture of the vertical light beams, reportedly taken by photographer Peter Rosen, was shared online. The pillars are created by light getting reflected from tiny ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere in extremely cold weather.
