The prices of pistachios, one of Iran's key agricultural exports, has jumped to their highest level in eight years. Pistachio consumption surged globally after pistachio-filled 'Dubai chocolate' bars went viral in late 2023. As a result, prices already climbed 30% since the end of 2023. The war-induced supply disruptions pushed prices to $4.57/pound in March, the highest since May 2018.
