Kanpur-based businessman Piyush Jain, who was arrested on Sunday, has been sent to 14-day judicial custody after raids at his residence led to the recovery of ₹194.45 crore of cash, 23 kg gold and 600 kg of sandalwood oil. As per the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, this is the biggest cash seizure in their history.
