Sonprayag-Kedarnath ropeway project approved by the Cabinet will reduce the current journey of 8-9 hours to approximately 36 minutes, the government said. The 12.9-km ropeway will be built at a total capital cost of ₹4,081.28 crore. "This project is going to be huge milestone in the pilgrimage journey of all the devotees travelling to the Char Dham," the government said.
